    Rope pod!

My Favorite lanyard manager on the market, it is bulky on your saddle but maybe not as much as photos make it seems as I can still carry saws, rigging gear, etc with me. It tends very well and I like pairing it with an Art positioner. Changing ropes is fairly easy just keep in mind you will need to take out the core of the end that will go inside the pod. My only critique of the item would be to improve on the plastic and screws that hold both pieces together as it is very fragile.

    thanks for all your efforts

I appreciate the Darbyshire's taking the time to bring the Pod back. I'm sure it was a lot of hard work on their part. If you're unfamiliar with it, it's basically a retractable cord reel in plastic housing for lightness. Love it for dense canopies to keep my lanyard tidy. It's robust enough to last a long time as long as you're not careless. If you use an ART positioner the reel's pressure can sometimes cause the cam not to grab immediately so be mindful and set the cam before sitting into it.

    Rope Pod

I love this rope pod- like the self tending aspect- saves having to do it manually- like that not all the rope fits - it means there is always some rope to grab and adjust one handed- it is good that debris can get out the bottom- it fits nicely between my first aid kit and my chainsaw tool holder- i dont tend to use it in a crowded conifor as i dont want to get cought on branches so having the clip means it takes seconds to swap out, 4m is enough for most situations👍👍👍 Thanks Sawpod

    Its, good

I love the idea of this device. My biggest complaint with it is that it constantly pulls the Rope instead of ratcheting. So for using a device like the art positioner it doesn't work well and constantly pulls and loosens the positioner. I bought two and have already broke one. I wouldn't say I'm overly aggressive when I climb but the clip where it mounts to the Pod broke off. All in all it's a good device but not my go-to lanyard keeper.

    sawpod

I love the idea if this product so i bought one.

Unfortunately nowhere i written that its made to wear on the right side of the harness and that it only takes 2m of rope inside.

Hi Oliver - we can make you a left handed version, just let us know where to send it to. We also find that if you seat the rope carefully to start with this helps getting more into the housing, as it flattens you will get more in. We reckon on about 1.5m remaining outside the housing once it all settles. Do get in touch directly thedarbyshires@yahoo.co.uk and lets sort your disappointment out!

Oliver - did you sort the problems out? Let us know the latest!
